Relationships

Pat (Napat Jindapat) - His son, and initially his favorite child. Ming spoils Pat, such as buying him an electric drum kit, as long as Pat keeps his "priorities straight" and saves his father's reputation. He is particularly passionate about Pat pursuing rugby. Unfortunately, after the events of Episode 10, Ming and Pat's relationship grows strained, as Pat mentions it is difficult for him to work with his father even as he works for him because they fight so often, and that Pat rarely comes home. Regardless, his son attempts to make conversation with him when he visits anyway. It is seen at the end that Ming may be willing to attempt to come to better terms with both his son and Dissaya as well.

Pa - His daughter, though prior to the events of Episode 10, he seemed less interested in her life. In Episode 12, he is shown to be friendly with her and her girlfriend, Ink.

Dissaya - See Ming & Dissaya

Pat's Mom - Pat's unnamed mother, who in the novel was named [placeholder here] has a healthy relationship with Ming, encouraging him to thank Pran himself in Episode 10, and respecting her husband's privacy when he drinks the liquor in Episode 12. Unfortunately, her tolerance of Ming's flaws do enable her to be apologetic about his behavior towards Pat, though in Episode 12 this improves and she leaves her husband to sulk by himself.

Pran - Though Ming does not seem to have a strong dislike for Pran specifically, he does tend to hold his family's quirks and life inconveniences against him. He had always encouraged Pat to compete and defeat Pran at things such as grade and athletics, although unbeknownst to both parents, the competition was something that they both enjoyed and bonded over as children. Ming had observed that in middle school, Pran used to follow Pat around everywhere with his guitar.[2] However, when Pran's friend Wai helps out with Pat's case and prevents him from going to prison, Ming is encouraged by his wife to thank Pran personally, and he does so. Ming starts to suspect something going on with Pat and Pran, leading to a confrontation that involves Ming thoughtlessly shoving Pran aside and does not do anything about it. At the end of Episode 12, it is revealed that Ming suspects that Pat and Pran are still in a relationship despite that Pat told his parents that they had broken up, but decides to let it slide. He also brings mis-delivered mail to Pran's house, which Dissaya unknowingly sees and smiles at.

Pran's Dad - Ming and Pran's father have been shown to openly dislike each other, as seen in the Episode 1 montage, as they both own construction supply stores that are right next door. Pran's father also expresses distaste that he thinks that Pat and Ming are so similar. Ironically, both parents spread the same lie to their children that they have a feud because Pran's parents bought out Ming's employees, so Ming bid-rigged him from overseas suppliers, which is later revealed to be untrue. However, Pran's father may be aware of Ming and Dissaya's history regardless.

Professor Pichai - Ming's former senior at South Tech University. Ming and Pichai are friendly, as Professor Pichai invites Ming in Episode 6 to see the bus stop, and they get a meal together along with Pat. When Pat asks Professor Pichai if he knows anything about his father's background with Pran's family, Professor Pichai does not seem to know much, but does reveal to Pat that Ming and one of Pran's parents used to go to the same high school, also implying that he attended with them.
