Purpose
The purpose of this Wiki is to provide as much information as possible about Bad Buddy: the Series so that information is accessible without needing to watch or rewatch the series.
The Wiki also aims to provide as much external context as possible, from cultural aspects to storytelling intent, based on commentary and metadata outside of the show.
While Bad Buddy is not a particularly long series, it is filled with rich characters inside a clearly defined world. We[1] aim to define this world in an archival way in order for others to understand it in a text-based format. Like many fannish Wikis, our audience and main appeal are those who are already fans of Bad Buddy. However, articles should be readable for those who know little to nothing about the show as well.
Bad Buddy: the Series will be referred to on this Wiki as a show, a drama, and a series interchangeably, but should be recognized as the core canon this Wiki is based on. The novel, Behind the Scenes, may be seen as a reference point for the show, but is considered a separate canon relative to this Wiki.
Content, Tone, and Objectivity
Articles written on this Wiki are meant to be as objective, detailed, and informative as possible. Anything made note of on this Wiki is considered canon and should have evidence. All evidence should be accessible, even if not cited. Any obscure information or observations, however, always will be cited.
This Wiki operates under the idea that all information on any page is accurate, detailed, necessary, and interesting. "Necessary" and "interesting" are both here to balance out inflation and minimization. As all articles are currently written by one person, and may be outdated, they may be rewritten or reorganized to better follow this idea.
Fandom, fanon, or anything related to the fan community will not have any pages or sections this Wiki. However, popular fan interpretations may be noted. Anything pertaining to the fandom would belong on the Fanlore page, and any existing subpages.
Patterns may be pointed out, but analysis will be kept to a minimum in order to follow the idea of information being both interesting and necessary. Analyses may suggest conclusions, but will not state them definitively if it is not outright stated in canon (by a character or by Aof.) More interpretative and personally judgmental aspects, such as personality traits, are observed in a way for an average Bad Buddy viewer to more easily agree with than disagree with the conclusions, though of course one's mileage may vary. Regardless, we aim to be as thorough and objective as possible, as both a Wiki and a fannish resource.
History
The idea of this Wiki started in February 2023 on a Fandom.com site, but was moved to its separate site in March 2024.
It is a long-term project of trying to document and archive information about a series that I love.
