Jam is a student at South Tech University, presumably in the Faculty of Communication Arts (or something similar to it), as they only appear along with Ink, especially when Ink has a photography session.
Jam is only present in Episode 4.
History

Jam first appears when Pat is modeling for Ink as a favor. Ink asks Jam if everything looks okay, and Jam replies, "We're okay, but our model [Pat] is a little stiff."
Jam tells Pat to relax and directs him. Ink asks for Jam's opinion again, and Jam says, "I think everything looks great."
When they change Pat's clothes, Jam says, "Come here, I'll give you a new look," and rifles through the t-shirts.
During the Engineering vs Architecture rugby game, Jam appears with Ink, and waves to Pat. After Ink talks with Pran, she asks Jam if they want to take pictures, and Jam says, "Never say no to cameras."
Pronouns & Identity
Jam is visibly queer, with an androgynous hairstyle, lipstick, and earrings, as well as their posture. Jam uses "chan" as a particle, which is the female/feminine version of "I." Jam also (possibly) ends another sentence with "haa," a camp, feminine ending particle.[1][1]
