History

Ham in the Chaiwiwat vs South Tech rugby game

Ham appears in Episode 9, as a rugby player on the team playing against South Tech University, Chaiwiwat. He does the starting kickoff for the game, and scores an early goal.

Sometime later during the game, he and another one of his teammates end up throwing a South Tech player to the ground, causing the player to sit out for the rest of the game and be replaced by Pat. It is unknown whether this injury was intentional or not. Pat consistently outruns Ham and his teammates, causing Ham to dislike him.

After the game, he expresses dislike towards the game's referee, complaining to his teammates that he thinks the referee "took their side," and called a foul when there wasn't one. Wai passes by, and, overhearing, interrupts to tell Ham that if he thought so earlier, he should've "protested right then," instead of "bitching behind his back." Ham calls him a bastard, and asks if Wai has a problem with him. Wai continues to taunt him, provoking Ham, while Ham's teammates hold him back. Korn intervenes then, telling Wai to calm down and, "Let's go find something to eat," before turning to Ham and his teammates and telling them that "it's just sport." Ham watches Wai and Korn leave.

Later, Ham appears at the In Front of the Flagpole Bar, which is the bar Wai works at, along with four of his friends who were also on the Chaiwiwat rugby team. They may have come in deliberately, as Ham glances at Wai and asks one of his friends, "Is he that bastard?" as if for confirmation, and his friend nods. Sometime later when Wai comes out of the restroom, Ham confronts him, saying, "Where are you going? You had such a nice mouth on the field. Now that you're alone, you're nothing more than a stray dog." Wai doesn't react to his taunts, telling Ham to just accept the fact that he lost the rugby game. "If you can't accept defeat, then just don't play at all," Wai tells him. Ham shoves him in response, and Wai shoves him back. Ham continues to try to verbally threaten him, but Wai does not back down until Ham pulls out a small pistol and threatens Wai with it. Wai backs down and tells Ham to relax, but Ham says, "Keep on badmouthing..." A drunk man and his friend interrupt the altercation, causing Ham to hide the gun back in his pocket, and allows Wai to get away.

Further on in the evening, Pat and his friends also arrive at In Front of the Flagpole.

Still at the bar, Ham decides to mess with Wai, deliberately spilling most of his beer onto the ground, before calling to Wai as a waiter. One of Wai's coworkers attempt to help Ham, but Ham points to Wai and says, "I want him to do it," and then tells Wai directly, "Come here and clean." Wai comes as directed, and when Ham opens a tin of cigarettes to smoke, Wai tells him, "You can't smoke here. Go to the designated area outside." Pat and his friends (Korn, Chang, Mo) watch this interaction.

As Wai finishes cleaning, Ham spills more of his beer in front of Wai. Both are unaware that Pat gets up to nearly intervene at this. Ham has another fuller glass later—possibly one of his friend's—which he spills even more. He says, "Sorry, didn't mean to." Wai looks at him, annoyed, but silently continues cleaning.

Pat comes up and bumps into Ham's elbow from behind, causing Ham to spill some beer on himself before he can spill more on the ground again. Pat says, "Sorry, I didn't mean to either," in a mocking tone. Ham says, "Look who it is. You don't have the referee to help you here." Pat says, "That's good. I can do whatever I want now." Both attempt to stare intimidatingly at each other. Wai tries to pull Pat away, and Korn does as well. Pat shakes himself out of both of their grasps, but heads back to his table regardless, shoving into Ham along the way. Pat and Ham stare menacingly at each other from across the bar.

After both parties have left the bar, Ham and his crew attempt to corner Pat alone in the side street/parking lot. Pat says, "You're not going to get over it, are you?" Ham says, "I am so not." Pat kicks him in the chest, causing Ham to be thrown back until two of his friends catch him. He and Pat begin to fight each other in the street. Ham kicks Pat in the chest, causing him to fall. Korn, Chang, and Mo rush into the scene then, with Korn shouting out, "What are you doing to my friend?" Ham whips out his pistol then, not knowing who to point it at. Pat immediately accosts him, trying to get the pistol out of his hands, pointing it away from both of them. The trigger accidentally gets pulled, and a bullet grazes Pat's thigh. Ham leaves the pistol there and flees the scene.

Some days later, Wai gives the police officers on Pat's case a video recording of Ham pulling out the pistol in front of the restroom cameras from earlier, taking off any suspicion that the gun belongs to Pat. This implies that Ham may have ended up caught.
