South Tech University is a fictional university in Bangkok, Thailand. Its known programs are the Engineering, Architecture, and Communication Arts faculties, each with their respective buildings, and the Engineering and Architecture faculties having an intense rivalry. Its campus is close to a bar named "In Front of the Flagpole" that later becomes known as the "Behind the Curtain" bar. It is within reasonable distance of Fashion Island/The Promenade, and close enough to Pat's and Pran's family houses for them to visit their parents every so often during the semester. It has a competitive rugby program that offers scholarships for students on the team.
