Nong Nao is Pat's "old" doll that he sleeps with nearly every night. It is difficult for Pat to sleep if he does not have something similar to Nong Nao's shape and weight in his arms.
Name
Nong Nao is not technically the name of the doll, but rather a common term for comfort objects in Thai, meaning "little rotten sibling." It refers to comfort objects that someone has used since childhood, so it has become "rotten" with age and continued use.
Appearance
Nong Nao is a stuffed doll that appears to be stitched together, though it appears more to be the decoration. It has two horns protruding from its head, its right one to be slightly taller and "stitched" pink, while its left and the rest of its face are light blue. It has two eyes, its right eye being a simple black pupil, and its left eye being a black pupil with a large white iris. Its body and legs appear to be "stitched" with similar shades of yellow, white, blue, and pink. It has one long "stitch" on its spine, and a small round blue tail.
Nong Nao is made of canvas material with firm stuffing inside.
