It has grey fencing, and a large wooden double door swing gate that leads into a single driveway.<ref>See [[:File:Both Ext 4.png]]</ref><ref>See [[:File:Ji_Ext_1.png]]</ref> Pat parks his car in front of his dad's in the driveway during Episode 8. His family also has a hose, and his father typically washes his car in the driveway.

They have a grey metal mailbox attached to the fencing on the left side when facing the front of the house. A small sitting area can be seen on the front lawn, with a seating area and a patio swing bench.<ref name=":0">See [[:File:Ji Ext Drive 1.png]]</ref><ref>See [[:File:Pats Car 1.png]]</ref> Greenery lines the fences, as well as around the house and in the front lawn. The house has a light yellow plaster, with a brown terracotta roof.

The house is close enough that if Pat and Ming fight in the living room with their door open, it can be heard from the house next door. The entrance to the house and the living room is a large clear sliding door with wooden frames. The door doubles as a window. It has white curtains, which are typically pulled back. This opens into the living room, with a chest of drawers, two cushioned chairs, and a large oval vanity. There is an air conditioner over the vanity. The ceiling dips in and has 3 wooden slats. The chest of drawers has four colorful statue decorations.<ref>Feel like there's probably cultural context here but I don't want to put anything that I can't verify myself at the moment</ref>

Beside it is a large vase full of straw.(?)[[File:Ji Int LR 2.png|thumb|180x180px|Ink, Pa, and Ming in the living room, Episode 12]]This leads into the living room, which has a heavily framed painting of Paris hanging as a centerpiece. The family has a large light grey sofa with an L-shaped sectional on the left. There are about four or five pillows on the couch, all a distinct and solid red. As it is implied that Pat's family is Thai-Chinese throughout the show, the red could signify the common Chinese decoration practice of having a lot of red, for protection and warding off evil spirits. There is also a brown rectangular coffee table with a lower part that usually has a stack of books or two. In every shot the coffee table is shown, there is also a black-and-white patterned tea tray.<ref>See thumbnail and also [[:File:Ji Int LR 4.png]]</ref> On the far right is a red lantern.<ref>See [[:File:Ji Int LR 3.png]]</ref> There are two narrow windows on each side behind the couch, usually with the curtain rolled up during the day, but let down to cover the window at night.

Near the family room is also a dresser with glass casing, containing a picture of Ming and [[Pat's Mom|his wife]], as well as a couple of porcelain cows and a stuffed cow as well. This suggests that Pat and his family are Buddhist, as cows are considered a sacred animal in Buddhism.

Very little lighting is apparent in the living room aside from natural lighting, giving it a bright appearance during the day but remarkably dim in the evening.

Both the entry and the living room have light marble flooring. The living room has a large bright red rug beneath the coffee table.

It is unknown where they keep their outside shoes. Ming and his wife usually wear slippers inside the house, while Pat and Pa more typically go barefoot.

It is on the first floor of the house along with the living room, shown to have similar narrow windows, through which greenery is visible, similar to the greenery outside of the house. A four-shelf glass display cabinet with decorations, including different porcelain cows, sits inside it. Two paintings reminiscent of East Asian style art hang from scrolls on the walls. A red lamp similar to the red lamp in the living room stands upright within a walkway on the side.

In the middle of the dining room is a small stone chandelier with a larger light in the center of it. Two wall scones in a similar stone style are at the back of the dining room. Against the wall is a display table, with a photo of two people(who?) and a gold-ish paper circle fan visible.

Behind the dining room—and, notably, behind where Ming sits—is a framed white scroll with 合想 (hé xiǎng) written in black calligraphy and listed vertically. It is visible both in Episode 1 and in Episode 12. 合想 is synonymous with 如意 (Chinese)<ref>https://twitter.com/midnighinparis/status/1318800123661438976?s=20</ref>, both of which are in the phrase 萬事合想 (Thai Chinese)/萬事如意 (Chinese)[https://twitter.com/midnighinparis/status/1318439881748566016?s=20]<ref>https://twitter.com/midnighinparis/status/1318439881748566016?s=20</ref>, which is a common Chinese phrase wishing prosperity and happiness in all areas of life. It is likely that the calligraphy is meant to bring prosperity and happiness to the household, and suggests that Pat's family is Thai Chinese.

The dining table is brown wood with five chairs with white cushion seats; two on either side and one at the end of the table, for Ming. There is a white table runner with red embroidery in the middle. Pat typically sits on his Ming's left, and his mother sits on Ming's right. Pa has sat at the chair both next to her mother and next to her brother. The dishware is white, with a simple floral design.
